Summary of presentation
With the expansion of global society, diversity and inclusion are one of the key concepts for an organization to develop and grow sustainably.
In this presentation, we will introduce methodologies to apply and expand upon the power of diversity and inclusion for organization development.
Recently, superficial traits such as culture, nationality, and gender are drawing attention as practical examples of diversity. However, the principal part of diversity is that every individual has their own “diversity.”
Promotion of diversity in organization development is not simply to respect differences between each other, but also to understand and apply the “strength” that individuals with diversity have on an organization.
First, we will confirm the essential understanding of diversity, using Lumina Learning’s model of measuring psychological tendencies based on the latest research in psychology. Through examples of approaches for diversity promotion using this model and reciprocal dialogue activity, we will then discuss the practical possibilities for diversity promotion in organization development.
