Summary of presentation

Learnology and Organizational Development

I have been advocating “Learnology,” a new science of life-long, life-wide, and life-deep learning based on the notion of “Homo Discens” i.e. the human being as “learning species.” Principally, learning has two dimensions; i) adaptation to the changing environment and ii) development of individual and organizational potentials. Not only individuals, but organizations and societies learn. My life work is to establish the vision of “Learning Planet” where people learn from nature, history, and cultural diversity.

At the ODNJ’s presentation, I would like to overview the principles of “learnology” and how it relates to Appreciative Inquiry and positive organizational development through lecture and interactive exercises.
